• To introduce new or emerging technology on utilization of oil palm by-products and biomass via bio-processing (enzymatic and mibrobial) technology

• To complement the R&D on POME treatment (eg. Tertiary/polishing treatment).

 

Scope Of Research

1. Utilization and treatment of palm oil mill effluent (POME); focusing more on obtaining valuable products from the existing POME treatment.

2. Production of bio-products from biomass (eg. Charcoal, activated carbon, bio-compost, bio-fertilizer ect)

3. Processing of palm oil or oil palm by-products and biomass by means of biological treatment such as microbial and enzymatic treatments
