NATIONAL BIODIESEL PROGRAMME

B5 Implemented beginning 1 June 2011 in Putrajaya, fully implemented in Central Region (Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka) by November 2011 for all retail stations.

Involved Building of Blending Facilities petroleum terminals completed.

Extended to Southern region (Johor) in July 2013.

Extended to East (February 2014) and North (March 2014).

MPOB involved in planning, implementation, monitoring and providing technical support.

B7 now implemented in transport sector for whole Malaysia.

Utilises 575,000 tonnes biodiesel per annum.
