The Engineering and Processing Research Division conducts R&D activities covering the following programs which are in line with the three-prong strategies namely 1) Zero waste, 2) High income and 3) Value addition.

The Bioenergy, Environment and Sustainability programs are officially under the Energy and Environment Unit, The Milling Technologies and Phytonutrients under the Milling and Processing Unit and the programs on Biomass and Green Products are under the Biomass Technology Unit. The details of each program should be referred to the respective unit's website. However, some of the R&D activities may cut across the three units.
